My hubby will be my stand-in for this event. (I’ll be at the Carver-Scott Humane Society’s Walk Fur Love event at the same time.) Come see one of us if you’re out and about with your pet.—Sid

Creek House Concerts Overlooking the beautiful Rice Creek in northwest St. Paul is Creek House, the newest best kept secret in town. Creek House is part art gallery and part sonically wonderful listening room. The musical mission at Creek House is to present the audience with the best in local and national artists playing folk, blues, roots, classical and jazz as well as storytellers, poets, and authors. Equally important is Creek House director Glenn Elvig’s desire to have every artist leave feeling that they just played the best gig of their lives. Director of sound, Marty Reynolds has put together a sound system that is second to none. Marty’s years of experience has created a room that is a sonic joy for both artist and audience.
November 11 – Lonnie Knight
A Concert for the Animals – A Benefit for the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Minnesota
with special opening set by your host, Glenn Elvig
This is a special night. I chose Lonnie to play this year’s Concert for the Animals because he inspired me to create Creek House. Lonnie has also inspired me as a player, performer and writer. Lonnie has given so much in the Twin Cities to help other artists get a chance to play their music on stage before an audience! Lonnie is a well respected artist and I am honored to have him as a friend. will you please join me and pack the house… tonight we honor Lonnie… and 100% of your ticket contribution will go to help the WRC, an organization I have had the opportunity to help over the last 25 years and have been humbled to be allowed to serve on their Board of Directors for the past 3 years. Please join us for an inspired night!
Kids are often passionate about pets. Why not nurture their generosity and creativity and get them involved in this worthy cause—and have a FUNtabluous time, too? Please, please, please send me any photos or stories of your fund-raising efforts for the Pet Project and I’ll post about it here and on my Facebook Fan Page! Heck, send in a video of your event to fellow animal-lover Ellen Degeneres and get a national trend going! —Sid
